Privacy notice

Myopedia (app.myopedia.org) is operated by Container SIA, a limited company registered in Latvia, which acts as the data controller for this site. This notice describes the data processed when you use the app. You can reach us at hello@myopedia.org.

Data we process

  • Preference settings, stored on your own device. The calculators save a few small values in your browser's local storage — myo.units, myo.tdee, myo.if— so your choices persist between visits. They stay in your browser and are never sent to us.
  • Server logs. Our host, Cloudflare, records standard request information such as your IP address, user-agent, and the path requested. This is used for security and abuse prevention, and retained in line with Cloudflare's standard practice.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site does not currently set any cookies. If and when we add analytics, advertising, or other technologies that require consent, we will request your consent through an on-site banner before they activate.

Third-party services

Two third-party services help deliver the site. Cloudflare provides hosting and content delivery (EU and global). jsDelivr provides the content-delivery network for the Basecoat stylesheet. Both see standard request metadata such as your IP address; we do not transfer the values you enter into a calculator to them.

Future processing

Myopedia is a commercial product and may add features over time — for example analytics (such as Google Analytics), advertising, affiliate links, subscriptions, or other commercial functionality. Any such addition that requires consent will be gated behind a consent banner, and material changes to this notice will be announced on this page.

Your rights (GDPR)

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. To exercise any of these, email hello@myopedia.org. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Latvian supervisory authority, the Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija).

Changes to this notice

We will update this notice when our data practices change. The date of the current version is shown at the foot of this page.
